Waverley School is a high-ranking independent prep school for pupils from 3 months to 11 years. With an average of only 21 pupils per class and single form entry, Waverley prides itself on offering a superb environment for its staff and pupils.
This summer the school decided that its main entrance was letting the side down. 360CE were therefore engaged to design and build a suitably attractive and efficient portico type structure.
Retaining the existing structure to reduce the impact of work and costs, we increased the glass area on the external and internal doors to increase the level of natural light entering the building. Security is paramount in the school environment and a new access control system has been installed.
Externally we improved the drainage and replaced the paved entrance. New lighting was installed operated via a dawn to dusk sensor with a timeclock for energy efficiency.
The existing UPVC windows and facia have been painted in a colour to match the new doors to give the entrance a modern fresh look.
Work was completed in 6 weeks.
