Waverley School is a highly regarded independent preparatory school for children aged from 3 months to 11 years. Known for its excellent learning environment, the school wanted its main entrance to better reflect the quality of the facilities and the experience provided for pupils, parents and visitors.
360 Commercial Environments was appointed to design and deliver a new entrance as part of a school construction project, creating an attractive, secure and practical entrance while minimising disruption to the daily operation of the school.
The Project
As experienced school building contractors, we designed and built a modern portico-style entrance using as much of the existing structure as possible. Retaining the original framework helped reduce both costs and the overall impact of the works while still delivering a significant improvement to the appearance and functionality of the building.
The project formed part of a wider programme of school building improvements, with every aspect carefully planned to ensure the school remained fully operational throughout the construction works.
School Entrance Construction

- Installing new external and internal glazed doors to increase natural light

- Improving external drainage and replacing the paved entrance
- Installing new energy-efficient lighting with dawn-to-dusk controls and timeclock operation
- Repainting the existing UPVC windows and fascia to complement the new entrance
